Baby H – A blessing to his family!
Last Thursday, it was with great pleasure I met Baby H & his lovely family. His Mum, and especially his Dad, were so overjoyed to finally have their newborn son.
“A little Greek blessing”
Just 9 days old, it was impossible to not feel the love they had for that adorable little boy. They are a Greek family and one extremely proud of their heritage. They were very keen to ensure that all the Yia Yia’s, Nona’s and Papou’s would be over the moon to see how immersed this tiny little boy already was in his Greek culture. What a lovely way to capture his background, and keep it forever to pass on.
Celebrate the family I say; celebrate what means the most to you.
One of the photos I captured from the session, was a request to capture Master H on an open Bible. The Bible was open to the passage about Hannah, from Samuel, who suffered a great barrenness. She was grieved and pious, her only wish – to have a child. A wish she put to God, and thus such wish was granted – God gave her Samuel who lived an earthly godly existence in priesthood – as she promised if she was given her child.
Tennyson gives homage to the saintly Hannah, in his lines below:
Happy he
With such a mother! Faith in womankind
Beats with his blood, and trust in all things high
Comes easy to him, and tho’ he trip and fall
He shall not blind his soul with clay.
Such beautiful words, and so unique.
I was honored to be able to capture the image for the family. As not a particularly religious person myself, certainly appreciate that many others are. I appreciate the blessing that life is. It is very important to appreciate that each person, each family, each spirit; has their own path to take for spiritual guidance and every single person should accept that this is the case. We all are unique and a blessing, and blessed to be here no matter our beliefs.
If you have some special spiritual meanings that you’d like to include in your Newborn session, I would be only too happy to accommodate. Please contact me here. Or you can just email me at lisa@adelaidenewbornphoto.com.au for more details and availability. Newborn sessions each month are limited, and its a good idea to get in early for your session, so you don’t miss out on those first special weeks.
